The Careers and VET Department aims to prepare students for life beyond school in employment, training or further study. We provide objective and impartial careers advice and welcome enquiries from all students and parents. We also offer a range of programs in school under the banner of Vocational Education and Training (VET) which include:
VET Pathways can make school more interesting and relevant to students while kick starting their career with recognised qualifications. They can graduate with their WACE and have the choice to continue in their TAFE studies or decide to move into a higher education course. This pathway is a great introduction into the world of work. Students will learn practical skills in Year 11 and Year 12 while gaining insight into the needs of the workplace. Success in their chosen program can lead to employment or give them a head start in other nationally recognised qualifications. Some higher level qualifications will offer pathways into higher education and university studies.
